Velma Wright Manion

	Velma Wright Manion, 87, of DuQuoin, passed away at 7:45 a.m. Monday, August 20, 2001 at the home of her daughter in DuQuoin.
	Velma was a retired seamstress at Forest City Garment Co.  She had also been a cook at the Maid Rite, Fair Acres Nursing Home and Fair View Nursing Center.  She was a member of the Old DuQuoin Baptist Church.  She was a member of the DuQuoin Community Club, Royal Neighbors, VFW Auxilliary, Perry County Gold Plate, DuQuoin Eastern Star and the Rebekah Lodge.
	She was born January 17, 1914 at DuQuoin, the daughter of James R. and Lula Belle (Lemons) Coffel.  She first married Milton E. Wright on April 2, 1937 at Old Jackson, Mo. and he preceded her in death on July 1, 1971.  She then married Ed Manion on December 8, 1978 at DuQuoin and he preceded her in death on March 15, 1979.
	She is survived by a son, Jimmie Dale Wright and wife Helen of Orion, Ill.; two daughters, Mona Holland and husband Robert of East Moline, Ill. and Millie Little and husband John of DuQuoin; seven sisters, Mable Ruth Crispin  of Henderson, Ky., Etta Jane Beach of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Lona Faye Dunnigan of Tuscola, Ill., Leota Berry of Madison, Mammie Lee of Florida, Lois Bird of Front Royal, Va. and Nina Belle Woolsey of DuQuoin; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
	She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, two infants, three brothers- Jesse Coffel, Carl Coffel and Marley Turner and two sisters- Bernice Hughes and Ida Mae Kinslow.
	Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 23 at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin with Rev. Ted Clark officiating.
	 Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin.
	Interment was in the Old DuQuoin Cemetery.
	Friends may make memorials to the Old DuQuoin Baptist Church.
